The
United States Naval Academy proudly calls Annapolis, Maryland
its home. Midshipmen, other Navy personnel, and their families
call on us to create portraits for a variety of reasons. Many
families in the area act as "sponsor" families to some
of the mids, giving them a "home away from home". Often,
mids express their appreciation by presenting these host families
with the gift of a portrait. Other prime times for needing a portrait
include at graduation time ("commissioning"), and for
holiday gift-giving.
